Ingredients

  • 500 g fresh green beans
  • 1 onion (finely chopped)
  • 2 tomatoes (grated)
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 cup Pure Verda extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt

Preparation

    Trim and string the beans, then halve them.

    Sauté the onion in the olive oil until softened.

    Add the grated tomato and cook for 2-3 minutes.

    Add the beans, sugar and salt; pour in a little hot water.

  5. 5

    Cook covered over low heat for 30-35 minutes.

    Let cool; serve at room temperature.

Tips

  • Don't hold back on drizzling extra virgin olive oil over the top.
