Ingredients

  • 4 leeks (sliced into rounds)
  • 1 carrot (grated)
  • 2 tbsp rice
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon
  • 1/3 cup Pure Verda extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt

Preparation

    Sauté the carrot in olive oil for 2 minutes.

    Add the leeks and toss gently, cooking until they release their moisture.

    Add the washed rice, sugar, salt and a little hot water.

  4. 4

    Cook covered over low heat for 25-30 minutes.

  5. 5

    Add the lemon juice and remove from heat; serve once cooled.

Tips

  • You can use bulgur instead of rice.
